UK and EU Passport Photo Requirements (35x45 mm)

Passport photos for the UK, European Union, and Schengen area must measure exactly 35 mm wide by 45 mm high. The head size from chin to crown must be between 29 mm and 34 mm (about 70-80% of the image height). The background must be light grey or cream, not pure white.

You must face the camera directly with a neutral expression, mouth closed, and eyes open. Hair should not cover your eyes, and no shadows should fall across your face or the background. Glasses should ideally be removed to prevent glare and frame obstruction.
